I work with university researchers, centers, non-profit organizations and community groups to develop films, photography, and visual media that communicates the significance of their work.
My work brings together my research background with my technical and artistic background in visual production. I collaborate with research teams and community groups to not only communicate their findings, but how to frame the larger questions, stakes, and significance of their work beyond the academy or immediate communities.
As a scholar I bring a deep understanding of the research process: how research questions develop, how arguments and data are constructed and gathered, and what is at stake in the work. As an artist rooted in grassroots production, I gravitate towards partnerships that feature work for social change

Research Filmmaking
I work with universities, research centers, and interdisciplinary teams to translate academic research into films and visual narratives for public audiences. Drawing on my experience as both a researcher and artist, I collaborate with teams to identify the central questions, ideas, and stakes of their work and develop visual stories that communicate its complexity and significance beyond academic settings. Depending on the research stage, I can report on completed research or, my favorite, follow your team through the research process.

Photography & Visual Documentation
I offer photography for organizations, research projects, cultural events, and community initiatives. My photographic practice combines documentary observation with an attentive and warm approach to people, place, and the reason for gathering. Services include event photography, portraits, organizational documentation, and producing visual materials for publications, websites, reports, and communications.

Nonprofit & Community Impact Films
I partner with nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, and community-based initiatives to produce films that communicate their work, histories, and impact. My approach centers the people, relationships, and ideas behind an organization’s work, creating visual narratives that support public engagement, advocacy, fundraising, and community storytelling.
Services begin at $4,000.
Public Humanities Development
I collaborate with cultural organizations, archives, museums, and community institutions to develop public humanities projects that bring collections, histories, and cultural knowledge into public view. My work includes the creation of photographic collections, archival research and activation, and the development of museum exhibitions.
Services begin at $1,500.
